Well we’re moving right along and like i’ve said, i am having a blast doing this stuff. We have everything decked and turns out i bought about 6 or 7 sheets of plywood too many. We got our stairwell celling up, the angle was tricky and we didn’t have to buy any more lumber for it. Now we are close to 90% done with framing, thank you Conway!

Racing a fast baby—part four of the Saga.
Well it has been over a month since i have posted anything about the house and you just might be getting worried that all work has ceased. But have no fear, the saga continues and actually i am feeling pretty good because i can almost start to see an end to this framing business, now only if it could be progressing as consistent and rapidly as Ephraim (again pronounced Eh-frum).
So yes, we are still framing, but that isn’t all we’re doing. Work has also begun on our cabinets—that would be the kitchen and bathroom vanities—thanks to my grandpa Tony. He is the master craftsman and Spencer and i are the apprentices. We are learning some incredible stuff and loving every minute of all of this labor.
Part 3 of the Saga
Well as you can see there has been quite a bit of progress since the last post which is entirely because we hired two guys to get it started in here! And turns out two guys who know what they are doing are actually quite fast… so i pretty much just get out of their way and bring them stuff. I am cool with that for now probably because it is all happening so fast.
The pantry door used to be in my mom’s house growing up, it was their phone booth door and they were allowed to draw on the inside of it while they were talking on the phone. We are so excited to use it as our pantry door and even leave some of those doodles, and maybe add some ourselves!
Hope you enjoyed the tour! Until next time!
