cfc community forum

You all will have to go check out CFC’s brand-spankin new community forum!  As you can probably tell by the ridiculous adjectives i am using, i am incredibly excited about this!  I hope this will be a tool for you to get to know one another, encourage one another, challenge one another, ask questions, make comments, and provoke one another to Love and good works. Although these are huge reasons for why we have created this, it will also be a way for the CFC staff to ask for your input on a broad range of topics. So don’t hold back, speak the truth, always with love.

“So, as those who have been chosen of God, holy and beloved, put on a heart of compassion, kindness, humility, gentleness and patience; bearing with one another, and forgiving each other, whoever has a complaint against anyone; just as the Lord forgave you, so also should you. Beyond all these things put on love, which is the perfect bond of unity. Let the peace of Christ rule in your hearts, to which indeed you were called in one body; and be thankful. Let the word of Christ richly dwell within you, with all wisdom teaching and admonishing one another with psalms and hymns and spiritual songs, singing with thankfulness in your hearts to God. Whatever you do in word or deed, do all in the name of the Lord Jesus, giving thanks through Him to God the Father.” – Colossians 3:12-17

What’s love got to do, got to do with it?

The topic of Love has really been on my mind lately.  Most likely that fact has to do with the books i am reading right now, “Crazy Love” and “Searching For God Knows What”.  The second one really dosen’t specifically deal with love however it talks about our failed formulas and the necessary reality of relationships.  As i was pondering this line of thought i begin to realize more and more my stupidity and pride when it comes to the matter of Love.  How utterly meaningless are my empty words, or my self-proclaimed titles; my self-centered “beliefs”, (which would more accurately be dubbed opionions), or my self-promoting “random acts of kindness”! You see we all love and we are all in relationships but the question is who do we love?  We can say we love Jesus or we can even we believe we love Jesus, but if we get honest with ourselves we would admit that the only thing that actually counts is if we actually love Jesus.

¿DO WE LOVE JESUS?

Can we even actually know if we really love Jesus?  Absolutely we can!

If we love Jesus, we will completely trust Him…

(At this point i was going to go into some pointless rant about the people who annoy me to no end with their lip service and stiff-necks but honestly whats the point.  WE ALL simply need to ask ourselves this question, “Do we really love Jesus”.  Not mindlessly spouting off our Christian “Yes” like Peter did when Jesus asked him.  We must seriously take some time to examine our hearts… examine our lives…)

Amen.
