I know it is the middle of May and the weather here is anything but Christmas-like but this Lord’s Day we are going to sing a Christmas song\u2014Hark! The Herald Angles Sing. <\/em><\/p>\n

What for? I’m glad you asked!<\/p>\n

For the precious promises, petitions and proclamations that are found there.\u00a0I am certain, when you mind all\u00a0of\u00a0Charles Wesley’s thoughtful, poetic, and theologically rich lyrics, you will agree\u00a0that it is a shame we tend to relegate Christmas songs,\u00a0such as this one, to a few Sundays in December.<\/p>\n

This week\u00a0as you sing, ask yourself if\u00a0*how*<\/em> you are singing properly corresponds to *what*<\/em> you are singing. There is no blas\u00e9\u00a0way to sing “Glory to the King of kings!” if you believe Him to be true.<\/p>\n
