We will be singing a new song this Lord’s Day. In the video below you will not only hear the song,\u00a0Though You Slay Me; a<\/em>s an interlude, you will hear an excerpt of a sermon by John Piper<\/a> entitled “Do Not Lose Heart<\/a>“.<\/p>\n

The name\u00a0of this song is taken from Job 13:15, “Though He slay me, I will\u00a0hope in Him.” The theological skeleton beneath\u00a0this song may seem odd, unfamiliar, or even incorrect to some, if not many Christians today. But this is nothing new or novel. All throughout the scriptures we are shown, and spoken to by a God who is sovereign, who lovingly works all<\/em>\u00a0things (literally all things)\u00a0for good and for glory. A God who gives and takes away; who through it all, is good and faithful and supremely worthy.<\/p>\n
